Judge Russo attended the Jefferson County Democratic Picnic in Stratton, Ohio on Sunday, July 27, 2008. The event, held alongside the Ohio River, was attended by Democrats from Stratton to Mount Pleasant. Democratic County Chair John Abdalla introduced Judge Russo to the crowd as they gathered to enjoy the excellent food provided by Rock’s Barbecue. Local Democrats met with Judge Russo and told him about their plans to present his materials at their county fair and throughout Jefferson County. “The setting couldn’t have been more beautiful, the people more generous, or barbecue better tasting then we had in Jefferson County. I truly enjoyed the visit.”

Judge Russo attended a salute to Parma Democratic volunteers at the American Legion Hall. Judge Russo paid tribute to the late Parma Democratic City Leader, Chuck Sebes, “nine years ago, Chuck Sebes stood up and nominated me for Democratic Candidate for Cuyahoga County Judge. Eight years, 7,000 criminal and civil cases, and 7 death penalty cases later, I now am the Democratic Candidate for the Ohio Supreme Court. He gave me my start, and I will never forget him.” Judge Russo was introduced to the crowd by Parma Democratic City Leader Chris Phelps. Judge Russo pointed out that for the first time in 38 years; all seven members of the Ohio Supreme Court are Republicans. He said, “Justice requires balance. And despite the fact that this is a statewide race, I will never forget my friends in Parma who helped me get elected in the beginning, and will bring this victory home to us in the end.”

                              JUDGE RUSSO VISITS LORAIN COUNTY

 

Judge Joseph D. Russo visited Lorain County Tuesday evening, as he continues his campaign across the State of Ohio.  The Judge spoke at the Avon Lake Democratic Club’s annual picnic held at the Lake House in Avon Lake. Judge Russo mixed and mingled with club members while they enjoyed good food and conversation on beautiful Lake Erie. He talked to them about the importance of this year’s Ohio Supreme Court race, and reminded them to go down the ballot to vote for him this year. He also thanked them for the important work they do as club members.

       Judge Joseph D. Russo campaigned today, Sunday, July 13th, at the State Fraternal
       Order of Police (F.O.P.) 74th Annual Conference in Boardman, Ohio.
       The Judge joined F.O.P. members from across the State at the convention BBQ,
       which was held at the Boardman, Ohio Holiday Inn. Judge Russo talked to members
       and their families and addressed the crowd of over several hundred, thanking them
       for the work that they do everyday, keeping Ohioans safe.
       The Annual Four (4) day conference ends on Tuesday. See photos of Sunday’s event

                               JUDGE JOINS IN FOURTH OF JULY PARADE 

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Joe Russo participated in the Parma Fourth of July parade, greeting thousands of Parade watchers along the way. The Judge came to Parma for the Annual 4th of July Parade, to promote his candidacy for the Ohio Supreme Court.  He joined hundreds of marchers, as he campaigned along with Russo volunteers, passing out candy and shaking hands with Parma residents. Russo volunteers also were present in other Parades across the County, including the annual West Park Parade, on the west side of Cleveland.

Judge Russo joins in the fun at University Heights Memorial Day Parade with Local and Countywide Elected Officials.


Judge Joe Russo’s Campaign for the Ohio Supreme Court visited
The City of University Heights for their annual Memorial Day
Parade. Judge Russo brought along his family to participate in the festivities.
Russo was well received by the crowded parade route. He joined local
University Heights council members Frankie Goldberg and Frank Consolo,
along with Cuyahoga County Commissioner Peter Lawson Jones, Cuyahoga
County Prosecutor Bill Mason, and State Representative Barbara Boyd, D- 9,
Cleveland Heights, and special guest, Indians mascot, Slider.

Judge Russo makes Campaign Stops in Columbus.
Judge Joe Russo’s Campaign for the Ohio Supreme Court visited
the Capitol City of Columbus this past weekend. The Judge appeared
before various groups, including the Ohio Educational Association, and
the Ohio Association for Justice (formerly the Ohio Academy of Trial
Lawyers) on Thursday and Friday, May 8th and 9th.
In addition, The Judge took his Campaign to the Ohio Democratic Party
State Convention on Saturday, May 10th, where he attended the Women’s
Caucus Luncheon and later, addressed the Full Convention Body, giving a
rousing speech to the State party convention. See accompanying photos

First Lady, Frances Strickland.
